Hey all,
Glad everyone had a good time. I know that we hit on a lot of topics in this overview session. Clinic II will focus a little more on using those little tricks and fills with G,C,D chords, finger strength building. I will also bring a guitar neck so we can prctice stringing and bringing to pitch. The G,C,D, also stands for "G et your Guitar, C reate, D on't give up"! You will be glad that you stuck it out!
Robbie shared invaluable info.....outstanding learning opportunity. Thanks Robbie for your generosity and Steve for your leadership. Nice meeting new folks and seeing everyone else. Look forward to the Clinic II .
Hi Everyone-- was really looking forward to attending this, but didn't get the address so I could print out directions soon enuf. Also, tried calling the phone no. listed but it kept saying, 'Call back later.' Oh, well! Hope everybody had a nice time.
Noticed below that someone suggested an intermediate clinic-- I'd be really interested in that.
Thanks again for organizing these things-- it's great!

Has the address been sent out for this event yet? Please re-send it to me if it has. Thanks.
Thanks Tom, hope to see you at VC&T.
I yield. Have fun. If I don't go to an open mic in College Park, I'll keep Mike company at the Village C&T.
Good point made by Mike. If the interest is there, we will also be doing intermediate clinics, which invlove common licks, progressions, alternate tunings, the deaded and soon to be your best friend barre chords, gear selection, and playing well with others. Sorry the last part only applies to when you have an instrument in your hands :).
Hi folks, This is a beginner's meetup, in a small venue, please if you're not really a beginner, update your RSVP and make room for those that are. You're welcome to get on the waiting list after the real beginners. There will be larger venues in the future, and we truly appreciate your interest and cooperation. There is a BGG Open Mic nearby, http://www.baltimoreguitaristgroup.com/calendar/14332111/
Hey everyone,
I am glad there is such a buzz about this session. We will keep it loose, and have a major Q&A at the end, with minor ones for each point in the suject matter. I will have an outline and some materials to hand out, along with some great Websites. One thing, could we do coordinated smoke breaks outside? Or jam outside part of the time? Main thing, just have fun. Oh and don't play too much the night before trying to get your chops down. Come with rested blister free fingies :)
Just received my reminder. Can't wait.
Interested - as long as my schedule allows it.
Michael, not to worry. We will be doing this hopefully on a regular basis. Next one is September if the interest continues.
Rock on!
For anyone that doesn't make it off the "waiting list" or is not participating in the Beginners Clinic there is another BGG event/Open Mic nearby.

Thanks for the suggestions, Robbie. I really don't want to "bump" Tom or anyone. More hoping that the slots will open up. Also will keep the lessons in mind. Right now, time is my biggest problem so maybe in the future....thanks!
Hi Marian,
You can ask Tom Gleason for his spot, as he is not a "true" beginner. Also I teach individual and group lessons, no more than 4. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm hoping more slots will open up for this clinic....I could really use the help and was away when it was posted. Got on the list "late."
I have a video camera and tripod. We can record.
A little ventilation would be nice.... Maybe the non-smokers (me included) can go outside for periodic fresh-air breaks. Bring some extra mouth-pieces for your oxygen tank, Robbie. ;-)
VIP room for 3 ... that's why I kept it at 7 (besides Robbie and myself).
Cool Robbie, we can handle that.
