Who's hosting?
Mike and Wayne Beck

A NEW Beginners Guitar Circle & Open Mic in New Freedom, Pa.

Wayne Beck has graciously offered to host another Beginners event at his home in New Freedom, Pa.

From Wayne:

End time will be last man standing, hey I live here, I don’t have to far to commute, lol

Park in rear of house in lot

Carport will be tarped off, anyone can pull behind and drop off gear and then park in lot.

Limited to 10 beginners, but will be happy to welcome any more experienced player to offer tips and advice and play along just like at Mike's house.

Guests are welcome, will have the full bar open and while the players and playing the guests can enjoy, libations, not sure how the space will work, so let’s limit to 1 guest per player, but would not get mad or turn away if some brought 2 guests.

Acoustic or Acoustic/Electric

Bass if any bassists are interested

Hand drums, and other low volume rhythm instruments welcome

Food, Alcohol, Soda and Water will be provided

Bring 2 to 3 songs, 2 easy beginner (open chords) and perhaps one intermediate. Given the date 9/11, perhaps some patriotic songs i.e. Lee Greenwood's "Proud To Be An American", etc...
ALSO: politically incorrect, irreverent and humorous songs are welcomed.

Bring lawn chair or stool, guitar stand, guitar, music stand, questions and sticking points for the experienced guy’s. Perhaps a list of resources the players use that may benefit others such as Chordie, Online metronome, Etc....

(Hey Rob)Would also like to have a care, maintenance, string selection, etc... Workshop if that is possible.

Smoking Allowed outside only

From Mike:

Wayne is allowing us a lot of latitude on this one, let's not overwhelm him.
Please Do Not include your guests on the RSVP count, just add a note if you will be bringing someone.

Intermediate and advanced guys feel free to sign up, but you may be bumped to the waiting list, beginners 1st at these jams.

Don't worry Michael, I have a second acoustic guitar you can use, it is an Ovation Celebrity Series, with the bowl back shape it is kind awkward to sit and play, but after you get use to it, it is a wonderul guitar with a good sound. Since you only have an electric, talk to Mike and he may also have a way to implement that as well at a jam like this.
