Welcome Springtime All Acoustic Jam (Annual Kill the beer Jam)

Time for another all acoustic jam at Mike's house!!!

Start time: 2:00pm
End time: When everyone drops

BYOB if you want something special, although there will be a good bit of misc. beer available
BYO lawn chairs, stools, music, stands, instruments, djembes, doumbeks, bodrans, digeridoos, kazoos, etc...

THIS IS A TAMBOURINE FREE ZONE

Optional: bring a snack to share.

We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, ice, soda, water, and a lots of other stuff. Grill available for your use.

Plenty of head in parking out back (about 25 spaces, as long as it's dry). If you've been here before you know the drill. Pull up the driveway, drop your gear, then go ahead and park (I recommend backing into your space).

HEY, we're looking at a great turnout, so we've decided it's a good time try a Swap Meet too! Bring along those guitars, pedals, music, stands & miscellaneous under appreciated equipment. Great time to try 'em out, make some deals and clean out those closets & music rooms! I'll have an area set aside just for wheeling and dealing so bring your tables or blankets to set it out.

NO PETS!!!

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT, SO WE'LL HAVE A RAIN DATE ON SATURDAY MAY 1ST

Due to the OVERWHELMING response to the "Welcome Springtime" meet, we ask that, if possible, please carpool. I have quite a few parking spaces, but not enough to accommodate a crowd this size. There is street parking, but please do not block the road (narrow street). I'd recommend you drop your gear first, then park (save your back). The meet is in the back yard, so please don't bother knocking or coming to the front door, no one will answer.

In addition, please remember to bring your lawn chairs, tables and/or blankets (if your selling), and BYOB. This is billed as a "kill the beer" jam, but with this amount of response, we can consider the beer pretty much killed!
If you would like, completely optional, bring along something to share. I will be supplying the hamburgers, hotdogs, soda, water and ice (and some beer).

Also, please keep your RSVP up to date so we have an idea of how many to expect. The address and contact info will be sent to you 2 days before the event.

This should be a blast, the largest BGG meet to date. See you all there (here).

    Rainy day Joe
A belated thanks to Mike and Bev for the wonderful hospitality and wishing I could have stayed longer but too many commitments...However, am I the only one who actually sold/swapped anything? Wanna' know what goods people picked up? Buyers remorse, anyone? Anyone leave home with one guitar and return with another?

Hey Jen, those are the sweatshirts. Everything has been identified by it's rightful owner. Except.... could someone please tell me HOW I managed to lose my cane? I certainly don't remember crawling anywhere!!!

If those 2 kids sweatshirts are a little brown zip up hoodie with orange and white striped at the shoulders, and a boys all grey zip up hoodie, then those would be my boys'.

Special Thanks to my boys: Jared for getting the place looking good and digging out all of gear from the garage, and Jake for manning the grill all day, and to Billy for all the extra help getting things set up and ready to go, Steve for helping with the last minute details, Bev for all the work, planning and putting up with me. Thanks to all of the participants for being the most fantastic group of folks I've ever met.

WHOA!!! Did anybody get the tag number on that truck? Despite the threat of rain and a few sprinkles here and there, what an awesome turnout!!! We had an absolute blast. The party continued on into the wee hours of the morning with the final guests departure at 3:00 am. I think we're going to sleep for about a week. Thanks to everyone that came out to make the jam a success.

You know I'm a collector not a seller. If I make it there, I will have one cool thing I just fixed up. And I am sure Doug won't remember it. (Is anyone interested in a fast cheap 3 gig gateway computer with, ati 9600 128 meg video, and 1 gig of dual channel ram, combo cd-rom, XP-pro. Got a few of them ready to go.)

Mike, I told Bruce about the 10 gazebos, and he said, we only need 1, that's enough to cover our family, lol!

Actually sold something. Had a great time, and jammed all day. Nice to see some familiar faces and play with some solid players. Thanks Mike, Bev and crew. Food was awesome and plentiful. Should do this once a month, and alternate acoustic with electric.

Had a great time, as did Bruce and the boys. They sure did enjoy ringing all those bells, lol! So glad I was able to make it, and it was so nice of Bev to have some stuff there for the boys to play with. :)
